In March and June of 2009 we had two fierce hail storms that caused damage to over 20,000 roofs in the Austin area. The areas hit hardest were: Lago Vista, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Hutto, North West Austin (Especially Milwood, Woods of Brushy Creek, Stone Canyon, Twin Creeks, Avery Ranch and many others) It has been estimated that at as many as 50-60% of the roofs that were hit have not been replaced. We have been alerting out clients and others that most insurance companies will only honor a claim ONE YEAR from the storm. This means that if you had a roof that was effected by these storms you may only have a few months left to make a claim. Further, we have found that some adjusters and roof contractors that went out on original claims did not do their job and there have been cases of major damage that was not claimed even though insurance would cover the damage. I have replaced several of my own roofs and have a trusted roofer who will inspect your roof AT NO COST TO YOU. If you suspect or don’t know that your roof may have been damaged please call me at (512) 423-5626 or fill out the form below and I will get our trusted roofer to take a look AT NO COST TO YOU.

On June 11th we had another fierce storm that hit North Austin, Round Rock and Cedar Park. This one was not nearly as wide spread as the March 25th storm which damaged an estimated 15,000 area homes but it was more intense. Especially hard hit was Avery Ranch. As part of my on going concern to provide the best service providers for repairs and maintenance for my clients homes I have researched the best most reputable company I could find to help with repairs of my properties and my clients properties. If you want a reputable contractor to take a look at your home for possible damage fill out the form below and a reputable licensed roofer will inspect your property – at no charge to you!

On March 25th, 2009 an extremely powerful hail storm hit Central Texas causing damage to cars, homes, and businesses. We have had several properties that are currently under contract damaged enough to have their roofs repaired or replaced. Insurance claims are being made on homes in neighborhoods all over Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander and other areas. The hail storm damaged some neighborhoods and left others alone – so it is hard to determine if your home was hit.
I have researched a local roofer who has been in the business in Austin for many years and had him look at my roofs and a number of my client’s roofs. He will take a look at your roof at no charge and give you a written report of his findings. If your roof needs repair or replacement he will work with your insurance company and get the job taken care of. He also offers a $500 insurance deductible reimbursement if you let him put a sign in your yard while he is replacing the roof. (fill out the form below for a free roof inspection)
Also, I have noticed there are hundreds of “roofing companies” that have come to town and that concerns me (there is no licensing requirement to repair roofs in Texas). Having a non-local roofer or someone who is “storm chasing” may lead you to have a roof repair that may be less than adequate - not to mention possible warranty issue. I suggest you choose a licensed professional that knows Austin and who will be around for the long haul. I can refer you if you fill out the form below.
You have up to 1 year from the storm date to make a claim for roof damage (otherwise you may have to replace it on your own dime later on) and most home owners have insurance that provide for a “cost replacement guarantee”.
